Performance Changes

Some of the normal Minecraft settings, as well as Paper/Spigot settings have been tweaked to ensure everyone has an amazing experience on the server. Some settings and a few notable changes include:

  • Difficulty is set to hard

  • Mobs despawn at 96 blocks from a player (default: 128 blocks)

  • Mobs spawn up to 64 blocks from a player (default: 128 blocks)

  • Mobs are adjusted to spawn equally between online player

  • Item despawn rate is 4 minutes (default: 5 minutes)

  • Select items despawn in 2 minutes instead

    • Stone, Andesite, Granite, Diorite, Cobblestone, Netherrack, Grass, Dirt, Gravel, Sand, Red Sand, Bamboo, Cactus, Pumpkin, Melon, Sugarcane and Kelp

    • This option has been chosen to avoid having a plugin remove ground items

  • To help offset the despawn changes, a corpse will be created upon death. This corpse will stay at your death location for 10 minutes, and will only be lootable by you.

  • The view distance has been increased from 10 chunks up to 16. Setting your view distance higher than 16 will have no effect.
